Which Florida Nursing schools are the best?

Published

I am a 19 year old who resides in the state of Florida with an immense passion towards nursing. I am currently completing my prerequisites and will be applying to nursing school in about 1 year. I wanted to ask what schools (not private, only public) offered some of the greatest programs in nursing. I know that Broward and Miami-Dade are great, but as an aspiring nurse students, I know one has to apply to many. Please if there any recommendations please list them. Thank you.

I currently go to broward college and just finished my pediatric rotation. What I can tell you is that I chose broward college because it is known to be an excellent program, is cheap, and I live close to the campus. FIU and FAU both have great BSN programs as well, but if you choose to do the ADN route, I totally recommend Broward. This program is no joke though. The rumors you hear are true. This is the hardest thing I have ever done, but the faculty is excellent and I feel like they are doing a great job with preparing me for a future RN career. My advice is to choose a program you live close to. All of your time will be accounted for once you start a nursing program and you don't want to waste time driving to a far campus or clinical site just because it is supposedly a better program. Everyone takes the same NCLEX at the end of it. What you put into it is what will make you successful. If you have any questions about Broward College feel free to ask me.
