Just out of curiosity, if you had to opportunity to become a CRNA or a Surgical APNP (first-assist), which would you choose, and why? Why would you choose one over the other?

CRNA all day long. As a CRNA I can be independent and have destiny over my own practice and career, even start my own company. I would not want to put in that much effort to be someone's assistant (more than that I know but still).
I am very interested in the cardiac system. Do you know if CRNAs are able to specialize in certain surgeries, such as working only cardiac cases?
Bump.
