Ok, after making a few calls, I have to change my original message to this:
I contacted South Australia nurses board and the result is this:
- in order to get registration I need 6 months of working experience - but I'm in the U.S. on student visa(not nursing-related), so I can't get it
- to be accepted into the bridging course, I need 12 months of working experience (which makes no sense, since you can get registered with only 6 months of experience)
- the only option is to go the bachelor program route, which means do the education all over again (3 years)
I wonder if all the nurses boards in Australia like that, or are there any states that actually give new foreign graduates any chances?
