I have over 14 years of experience as a nurse. I did not work for the last two years but have kept up my license by continuing my education and I am less than 6 months away from finishing the RN-BSN program. I have been applying for RN positions for months now and I am having a hard time even getting an interview anywhere. Is it like this everywhere or just in the Charlotte area?

It seems like it's just Charlotte, but maybe that is because I live here too. I have about a year and a half of HH experience so my situation is a little different than yours. I've been trying to transition for almost a solid 2 years and I am not really getting any where ( at CMC at least). Presby is recruiting now. I had an interview there this week. I am hoping to hear from them soon because they are my first choice and they're local. The Winston-Salem area, Forsyth and Baptist, are recruiting heavily! I am so torn because I am going on my 4th interview today in Winston and pretty sure I'll be offered a job soon. However its about a 57 mile drive ONE WAY. I'm starting to feel like I have no other choice...but a 55 min drive after working??? :uhoh21: I'm just praying for direction at this point. Hang in there!
Thanks! I hope you get the job offer you want soon!
