Where are you all finding new grad residency info???

Is there some sort of website out there that lists all the residency programs for new grads for this upcoming summer? help!!!

Yes. Its called All Nurses! Seriously, the best resource for new grad postings. Also check out the Facebook page New Grad RN Jobs [Calif.+]. When you look at the page (which has recently converted to timeline) chose the option to "see post by others" where it defaults to timeline. Theres good stuff there too.

So I am graduating with my BSN in about 30 days and have been studying for NCLEX all semester (So I plan to take it right away) and I have been trying to find where the new grad programs are in California. I have been going off of word of mouth from friends at school or at other universities, but its frustrating not knowing where this info is coming from. Is there some sort of website out there that lists all the residency programs for new grads for this upcoming summer? help!!! I'm kind of freaking out about being unemployed.

Don't worry. You aren't alone being unemployed as a new grad. It's going to take time (from one old new grad to a newer new grad) :)

Start by going to job websites search engines and hospital websites. That way, you'll know if that hospital offers New Grad Programs and when their program dates generally are (you apply several months in advance.) The September/Fall cohort of New Grads just applied a few months ago. UCLA, Cedars, UCSD, UCDavis, CHOC, and Loma Linda are some of the places that offer new grad programs.

Just start your research. Breathe. Pass your NCLEX. Celebrate. And keep this message board bookmarked. :)

Also, not to be the bearer of bad news but your a bit behind the ball with applying to summer start programs. A lot of the application periods have passed for summer. CHOC (Children's of Orange County) and Loma Linda Children's applications are open now! Good luck to ya!!

thanks guys for your advice! vwgirl...i know im a little behind, ive been working on my resume and studying for school and i didn't even start looking for new grad programs until it was too late for some most girls in my classes aren't even looking for jobs yet, which is kinda scary but i just need to stay optimistic and stay on the ball to not miss any important deadlines! but thank you for your help!
