Its been there a week....been taking Augmentin 4 days now.
Been back to the ED 2 days ago and had needle aspiration of pus ( ) Got lots more out before needle track shut. Pain at the site is less, redness same, but leg proximal to infection is sore now. Docs have been reluctant to I&D, they don't think there's pus in there...wish I'd taken a picture of what I massaged outta that thing after they told me there wasn't much pus!
This all started as an innocent bug bite on my thigh.....guess it was really a saber-toothed chigger!
Anyway, do you think they'd bother to do anything different based on the only change being the proximal soreness, esp when flexing hip joint?
