What's in a Name?

A nurse was caring for an elderly couple. She was impressed by the way the gentleman preceded every request to his wife with endearing terms calling her honey, my love, darling, sweetheart, pumkin, and so on. The couple had been married almost seventy years, and it seemed they were still much in love. While the wife was off in the kitchen, the nurse leaned over and said "I think it's wonderful that, after all these years you've been married, you can still call your wife those loving pet names." The old man hung his head in shame. "I have to tell you the truth," he said. "I forgot her name about ten years ago."
