The book I'm using is making this very difficult for me to comprehend. I was wondering if anyone could help me, maybe but it into simpler terms.

From my understanding, both shots are similar, though given at different times. The DTap is given first, around 6 weeks and is a vaccine for Diphtheria, Tetorifice and Pertussis, but the vaccine wears off in 10 years, so then you get your TDap?

Is your TDap basically just an adult version of a DTap?

Yes, you are correct. DTap is the initial dose of the vaccine given to children. TDap is a booster given to adolescents and adults.
