Hi Everyone,
Long time stalker, first time question. I have been a nurse for 4.5 years, all cardiac. I've done CT surg step down to MS/Tele. I am 100% over bedside nursing and need a change. I haven't been having luck getting another job. I've had a couple interviews that didn't work out (asked for feedback and did not get any), and there's generally a lack of opportunities. I'm assuming some of that is due to covid.
I applied for a job at a Davita center 10 minutes from home and had a video interview that went well. I'm going on Monday to shadow for an hour or so. I'm trying to keep an open mind going into the shadow.
Has anyone else made the transition from bedside to dialysis that can give me some pros/cons or anything that I should look out for or ask when I'm shadowing? I'm getting a little desperate to get out so I feel like if the money is decent I'm going to take it, but at the same time I don't want to jump into it and end up feeling the same way I do now.
Thank You for any advice
Nursedanny
Did you end up taking the position? If so, how is it?
