What are you wearing to your interview??

I guess it would depend on where you are going (East Coast vs. West Coast) and the date of the interview. I am also wondering just how far we can deviate from the traditional interview attire. I think fashion is a good way to make a statement of who you are, but would something like this be too casual?

I'm in GA so it's a little warmer here so weather wise I can get away with not wearing a blazer. I like those boyfriend style jackets in that link but I couldn't find anything like that when I went to the mall yesterday. I am thinking of going out again and trying black tailored pants, a shirt and a black cardigan.

See this is another reason why I would love to be a nurse...I won't have to worry over what clothes to wear to work each day :-D

I know there are some others on here that have interviews coming up. What are you all wearing? I tried on some suits today and I cannot stand how the jackets look on me! I feel so boxy and uncomfortable. Would it be too informal to leave off the jacket?

I've been thinking about this, too! The advice I received from a NP/mentor was to wear your basic standard interview garb (clean & pressed); make sure that you're comfortable and that you're not aiming to express yourself with what you have on -- you want your talking to do that.

Me, I'm imagining what I would wear if I had to present a paper at a professional conference. Projecting myself in that way actually makes me feel more confident.
