What questions should I expect in my ICU interview?

Hi Everyone!

I am an experienced med-surg tele RN of almost 4 years - I'm curious what types of questions to expect in an ICU interview. Most of the threads have been for new grad internships and such, so I'm interested in knowing what differs.

Describe a challenging interaction between you and a physician, what happened? How did you handle it? How did it change your relationship?

Similar questions like that but substitute patient or family in for the doc.

Describe an error that you made, how did you handle it, and how did it affect your practice?

I hate that one, since I will NEVER admit to making any errors in an interview, yet it's been asked!

What can you tell me about Magnet Hospitals? Shared Governance?
