At 40, I am currently considering a mid-career change and going into nursing. I'd like to be an RN for a few years and then an NP. I'm so confused, though. Can anyone point me to some resources that tell me what an RN does all day? I know there are all different kinds of nurses, but is it best to start out at the bedside?
Any advice or resources would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Hello HopingtobeNP and welcome to Allnurses!
This website is nice (imo): http://www.discovernursing.com/
and you can also browse the Nursing Specialities forums: https://allnurses.com/forums/f4/
there are some posts there about what nurses in different fields do. I hope this helps a bit to shed some light on nursing! :heartbeat
