I graduated nursing school, passed the NCLEX, and have worked in LTC/short term rehab for over a year now. I have excelled at what I do, they have made me charge nurse, however I haven't received a raise. I'm starting to think about finding another job. I have my BSN, and would eventually like to go back to school to further my career. I still don't know what I'd like to study because I love everything, but all I know is I need to make more than $22/hr. I have been thinking of applying at the nearest hospital, but the application process is very tough and it is hard to land a job. I am thinking about taking some courses to beef up my resume, like becoming ACLS certified, and maybe even doing a wound certification course. I love where I work, and there is room for advancement, but I don't know if there's enough money in it. Not quite sure what to do. I'd appreciate any guidance!
Thanks,
Crystal
