What do we need to know?

Hi everyone,

Is there any special nursing skills or knowledge that we need to prepare before we can be the patient care technician or CNA in CCU? I wish to work in the CCU, but don't know whether I am qualified to apply to work in this area. I am currently a second semester ADN student, and I know I can apply the work in meg/surg, but I wish to get my feet in the CCU. So, any comment?

Any of your feedback or opinion or idea will be highly appreciated.

Thanks. :nurse:

Thanks, MarkHammerschmidt, I found your website. It is quite informative to sum up what I want to know. Thanks again for the reply (It's quite humor the way you describe it. I would love to try, wish me luck to get into this unit to work)

Hi, can you send me that link as well, thank you.

I have no luck to get into the unit. Applied but didn't get in. Anyway, I think I would just focus on my studies for now. Quite disappointed.

Thanks ERNurse752 for posting the link.
