bucknangler,

i felt compelled to answer your post bc i was pretty young when i started applying too, only 25 when i got accepted. Your numbers look great, those should serve you well in the application process.

Here are a few tips: talk up your ICU like you do the coolest things in the world there, have a great answer prepared for why you want to go into anesthesia (instead of your healthcare mgmnt degree), know your drugs inside and out, have some answers prepared about times you made mistakes, and think of some of your most complex patients and be prepared to talk about them. This website has a wealth of potential interview type questions on it, so be sure to look into that as time gets closer. Oh, and write a great goal statement. Just out of curiosity, is there a certain school you are hoping to be accepted to? Or were you planning on applying to a few?

best of luck :)

I plan on applying to UAB, LSU, and Our Lady of the Lake College. Also, I plan on taking a graduate level statistics for sure. However, I want to take either undergrad biochem or an advanced pharmacology to help myself stand out more. I also plan to take CCRN in june, that is when I would have enough hours. I'm worried as heck I won't get in...which would be absolutely devistating!

The only way to really find out is to apply... Don't bother asking others. I say go for it! :twocents:
