West Georgia Technical College Spring 2014

Published

Just wondering if anyone here that applied for ADN competitive selection at West Georgia Tech's Lagrange campus....

Specializes in ER, IICU, PCU, PACU, EMS.

Moved to the Georgia State Nursing Programs forum.

I have applied to West ga tech but the Newnan campus. Waiting now for the yay or nay.

Does anyone know how long the RN course at WGTC is? I have finished with the TEAS and all pre-reqs.... looking to apply for Spring 2015 but I can't seem to get a hold of anyone at the school. Also, do their semester run consequitively (Spring, Summer, Fall)? Lastly, do they have a BSN program or is it just the ADN? Help!!!!

WGTC RN program is 2 years (6 semesters) that starts the summer semester. And yes they all run consecutively so no summer off! :/

If you want to start in the spring you could try one of the other campuses as they all start at different times. They do not offer a BSN. We have heard that they will be changing the program so that it is one year but I'm not sure when that will start. Hope this helps!!

Oh yeah just wanted to say the summer semester is ending right now and registration for fall has started so that may be why you're having a hard time getting someone on the phone.

Hello. I have many questions about the WGTC program. I hope someone can help me in answering these:

-What is the difference between WGTC 6 semester vs 4 semester nursing program?

-Are certain classes taught alone during the 6 semester program. If so, I know that courses are taught during the summer and summer is a much shorter semester.

-Also, how is the organization of the program such as classes vs lab vs clinicals?

-Are any of these conflicting with one another?

-How are the professor's relationship with students?

-How diversified is the student body, etc?

-How is class time, clinical time, and lab time during 1st semester?

Thanks for the information.
