Hello, I'm an undergraduate nursing student looking to complete most of his pre-requisites at Los Angeles City College before entering West Coast University. I'm having trouble finding out if LACC's MATH 245 College Algebra (3.0 units) is equivalent to WCU's MATH 108 College Mathematics 1 (3.0 units).

The following are the courses' descriptions from their catalogs, please let me know if these match up:

LACC MATH 245: Students receive instruction to solve linear, rational, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic equations; graph linear, rational, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions; solve linear and nonlinear systems of equations and inequalities; sequences and series.

WCU MATH 108: Students are introduced to algebra topics such as properties of real numbers including basic operations, solving and graphing linear equations and inequalities, polynomials and their properties, factoring polynomials, simplifying rational expressions, radical expressions, complex numbers, solving and graphing quadratic equations, solving system of two linear equations, logarithmic functions and their properties, and exponential functions.

What LACC or other community college course did you take that was equivalent to WCU's MATH 108?

Please let me know, and thank you very much for reading!
