I just graduated and am now working in the ICU at Kennestone. I absolutely love it! The orientation program is long...about 6 months or so. I am classified as a tech now, but am already precepting, so I am ahead of the game. I took boards today, and will find out on thursday if i passed Everyone at that hospital is great. Most new grads will go to nights, but start orientation on days. Approx. 4 months days and 2 months on nights. You will take classes and such to enhance your knowledge and experience. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Can anyone tell me what the new grad orientation is like at these hospitals? i.e., How long is orientation? Are there organized classroom activities or just preceptorship? etc... Any information will be helpful. Thanks!!
