Was wondering if anyone knew anything about Western's new accelerated program. I think this is only its second cycle, and the pre. reqs. would take me about twice as long to complete as what I need to complete to be eligible for UNC's program. Not only that, but I'd have to take a test and go through an interview process. However, I'm from Asheville, and would really like to get back there as soon as possible. Is it worth pursuing? I tried to call the contact person on their website, and had no luck getting through to anyone (although that was about 6 mths. ago).
Thanks!

WCU's ABSN option (acclerated) is a 16 month intense and rigorous program that runs May-August-- with one class per year accepted each May. You begin the application process in Oct/Nov. The program is graduating the first class this May. It is a highly competetive program because, at present only 12-15 students, are admitted. I suggest you contact the program coordinator by email (listed on Website) if you had difficulty reaching by phone.
I think you are the contact person...am I correct?
