Hi, does anyone know if you have to write two separate essays for why you want to be a nurse and how you foresee nursing in the future, or do you combine these into one??? TIA

Do-over, ASN, RN 1,085 Posts Specializes in CICU. Aug 14, 2008 I actually wrote two separate essays because the topics are pretty distinct. I used one of the topics for the final essay in English 119, so I already had it done. I was accepted, BTW. If you have any doubt about what they want for your application time frame I would ask at an info meeting or call the office and ask.

I thought of the two topics more so as, where do I see nursing in the future, and how will I make an impact in the field AS a nurse.I don't know anyone (personally) who turned in two essays.

I actually found it quite easy to combine them. I also do not know anyone personally that wrote two separate essays. I was accepted to the program as well. :)I do know that Mrs. N said to keep the essays short and sweet. One page was enough according to her. However, I agree that when in doubt you should always check with the nursing office about any concerns or questions. Good luck.
