I am retaking a class and will have a 3.77 for the June application meeting and special consideration,but since they just started the new requirements I figured there won't be so many ppl applying......

ALso how long did you have to wait until you found out you were accepted??

When you say the new requirements are you talking about the transfer students having at least 12 credit hours???

I'm applying to the program in June 2009 right after I finish the Micro w/lab and AG.. At OCC you didn't have to take Micro w/lab, so that is a class I have to take over. Right now my GPA is a 3.92, I'm not really sure what it will be after I finish Micro, AG and Patho (lord willing I get A's in all 3)... If you can re-take another class to bring you up to a 3.8 maybe 3.9

Well transfer students have to have 12 credit hours, the NET test scores have changed, and there are a few other things. Also at WCCC you can't take the NET till FEB or April, so those that have not taken it or have to redo it will not be able to apply in FEB. At the info meeting in NOV 2008 so many ppl hadn't completed 12 credit hours at WCCC, so that is in my favor too. Do you know how long it takes to find out if you are accepted?

I applied the program in Feb. 2008, and got the happy letter in July 2008( the application deadline for Fall 2008 was May 2008).

Geez..they make you wait that long..that's torture! What do you mean by deadline was May 2008? I thought you apply in FEB and that's it...

I applied for January 2009 in August 2008 and got my happy letter around the second week of Nov. It was torture.

By deadline was May 2008,that means we can apply at Feb, March etc application meetings. The last one is May 31 2008?( I forgot the exact date). The program will collect all the applications from Feb to May, then they compare all the applications and make the decisions. So everybody will get the happy letters at the same time. You apply first that doesn't mean you will get the happy letter first because they have to wait to the deadline.

hi everyone i allplied for the fall of 09 nursing program at wccc and was just a little confused by the new point system and the gpa, my main concern is do they go by your pre req gpa or your overall gpa.

They go by the pre req GPA..there was no more than 170 ppl that applied for fall 09 so our chances are good! And I called and we will get letters by the end of April!!! One month! What was your gpa? they also go by other things too!

ok good i was talking to someone in class today and she told me they went by overall gpa which i didnt think was true.

my pre req gpa 4.0 overall 3.5 and ive taken all my classes at wccc with no more co req left and what was your gpa. im loving this site friends and family have no idea how we feel with the waiting they just keep saying dont think about it yeah right (LOL)
