Hey everyone!
I just got an acceptance letter for this Fall semester and I'm elated and nervous out of my mind. I'm creating this thread so that we as student can help each other through this journey. Naturally I have plenty of questions and would like to share comments and questions with you all.

Hi there!!
I know I'm about 2 months late on this post, but I also got accepted to Wayland's fall BSN program as well! I'm nervous too, especially since they trim the program down to eight weeks! No worries we will get through this!! Feel free to message me if you want, it would be nice to meet some of my classmates before orientation ?
Blessings, April
Hi April! 2 months late is better than never. I'm just glad someone responded LOL. Right now my issue is getting a hold of financial aid. They're working from home and the process is stessing me out. Also, I still haven't recieved an email from TX BON for the background checks. Have you?
No, I have not and I figured out there was an issue with my email...I just sent you a friend request on FB (I think I found you based on your name LOL) under "April Love"

Hi. How was the program so far? Any advice on how the class works? Would you recommend the school? Thank you
I actually left the program due to a family medical emergency but I will give you a solid NO on if you should consider this program.
Oh I am sorry about that. I hope everything is okay now.
Why should I not consider the program? Is there anything about the program that displeased you? Please advise. Thank you.
There is a lot of things but I wouldn't want to discuss them on a public forum. The main issue was the program was condensed into 8 weeks with material removed but then material started trickling back in to the program with numerous changes to the syllabus. That's pretty much what I will divulge on here. Best of luck to you dear.
I appreciate your response. I was also wondering about how will the 8-week program work for nursing. I thought it would be a good idea because that means we'll finish quickly but the course load will sure be heavy. I am prereading my old notes from LVN school maybe it will help into the program. Thank you for your time and goodluck to you as well.
Any more comments about this program will sure help.
For any recent graduates of the Nursing program in Wayland, please share your experience as a student and what can you tell us about the program? Thank you
Also Thanks Anasha Peebles for starting this feed.
Youre welcome!! My family situation is well, If you want to communicate further I'm under "April Love" on facebook! You can request or message me if you'd like! Take care.
