getting ready to start the walden adn to msn leadership track in january. i am currently taking 2 courses to finish up the prereqs and like the website interface and the instructors; however, the bursar and the financial aid people have got my bp through the roof; they seem incompetent at best. :angryfire

would appreciate any insight from folks that are in that program. how are the courses, the instructors, etc? what do you like the most about it? or don't like about it?

i appreciate the input.

Sorry you are having problems-it is no way indicative of the program. You will have 3 years. The first year has group projects. It wasn't too bad. Weekly postings, papers, usually 2-4 pages or so. The papers all have to be in APA format. You will need to learn this very well. I purchased a APA formatting program for $25. It was worth every penny. After the first year, no more team projects...just the weekly postings and the papers. It is not too bad. I teach in a VN program and still found it to be no problem working with the class load.

if you have any more questions email me, or respond back.

Thinking of Walden among other schools just wondering how they structure the program is each class 10 week long a week per unit and such. I have checked out Kaplan and Capella and they both seem to have the same format. Thank you for any information you may have.

program is semester based and you take 2 courses per semester; each course is 8 weeks long. books are included in your tution and are sent automatically approximately 2 weeks prior to class start. the adn to msn program is 3 years.

of the programs i have checked out, this was by far the best suited to my needs structurally and price wise. also walden has been doing distance learning long before there were computers that weighed less than 1000 lbs! my 8th grade teacher was taking classes at walden for his masters in 1967.

as far as the issues i have had with the admin branch, they appear to be pretty uncommon according to other post i have read about walden.
