Well, I've turned in all my required materials for application to a PMHNP program, at least I think I have. My transcripts were apparently lost prior to my interview and when I contacted the program coordinator prior to my interview to make sure my letters of reference and transcripts had come through she blew me off saying she wouldn't be checking for completeness of application requirements until at least another week had passed. Well, that same week she sent out an email saying our interviews would be the very next week. So when I showed up for my interview I was horrified when the professors/interviewers said I was missing my transcripts and a letter of reference. The interview itself went really awful. I was extremely nervous and rambled horribly and am pretty sure I made no sense on a couple important points. Anyway, immediately after my interview I got an email from the coordinator stating my transcripts were needed so I had them overnighted back to the university. When I emailed and called to see whether they were received the coordinator blew me off AGAIN, stating she was busy with undergrad interviews and then that she was out sick. In the last message I got from her she never confirmed whether they had been received and just said admission decisions had already been made regardless of the status of my transcripts.
Trying not to read between the lines too much but I feel like this means I haven't been accepted, i.e. "Don't worry about your transcripts, we don't need them." My GPA, experience, admission essay, and writing test all are strong. Just my interview went badly. There were only 8 or 9 of us applying so I feel like my chances are still pretty good but it doesn't make any sense to me that they would say they need my transcripts and then just say "never mind" unless they had written me off. Right now I'm just waiting to hear one way or another and have still never heard from the coordinator whether my stuff got there and since they've already made their decisions it seems like it doesn't matter anyway!
Just venting a bit and wondering how this whole deal sounds to anyone else. Thanks!
