Waiting in limbo

Hey there everybody,

My name is Christina (as if you couldnt figure out from my screen name). I really need some reassurance as I have gone through these last three weeks of school. At my school we are required to make a 100% on our Dosage and Solutions exam. We get 3 opportunities to do this and then 2 after this semester. Well, I didnt make the hundred on the first try but I did on the 2nd. So, I felt pretty good after this, but the way our school has set up this particular semester, which by the way is considered our 2nd med/surg rotation has really got me in a tizzy. In the first 3 weeks of school we have the Math test which requires 100% proficiency, a so called "final" the second week of school requires a 74% to pass, and a written essay type test that requires you to write out step by step how to give rectal supp., eye gtts, etc...this also requires a 74 % to pass. Also, during these weeks we have check offs for injections, how to give meds etc.. Well, I have so far passed the final in which we lost only a handfull of people, the math test where we lost a significant amount of students, all the checkoffs and I am now waiting on the results of the essay test which I took Thursday. By the way, we get two chances to take this essay test, this was my second time to take it, no one passed the first time, I got counted off on all my procedures because I left out check exp. date on my universal steps. Our instructors said the scores wouldnt be posted until Tuesday of next week. This really upsets me because if you dont pass you have to drop the course and retake it next semester. This is after the school has taken your money and will not refund it because the date to drop with refund has already passed (strategically planned by the professors and the school in my opinion). So now I am sitting her waiting for my results waiting to see if my graduation will be post poned for 6 months and if everything I have had to do up until this point has been in vain. This is really frustrating, I heard all of the complaints from others who either repeating this course because of failure of one of the tests, or from upper classmen who have survived this hell and I just didnt believe that it was this bad. I really need some reassurance, being a nurse has been my lifelong dream I feel I have come so far to get where I am right now but

:crying2:this is absolute torture!!!!!!!:uhoh21: :uhoh3:
