Recently I completed my application to Villanova for the Summer of 2019. I still have Theology and Philosophy requirements left to complete by then, and as I was dismissed from a previous school, I'm considering writing a supplementary letter regarding the circumstances. Despite my dismissal, my overall GPA is still above a 3.0. Although I am leaning heavily towards Villanova at the moment, I am still keeping an eye on other schools in my area, as well as on the possibility that I might return to my original school and pick up where I left off. With those things being considered, what are my chances of acceptance to Villanova as someone with a good GPA but a prior dismissal? With my missing requirements, when can I expect to possibly be called in for an interview? How exactly would the interview go from start to finish? How much weight would it carry towards their acceptance? How would you say Villanova's accelerated program compared to others in the area, including Rutgers-Camden, in terms of rigor, difficulty, and schedule? Also, if I were accepted, it would be a half hour drive from where I live and a headache to use public transit, and I don't currently own a car. For any Villanova students who may have carpooled, was there a way for you to have gotten in touch with other accepted students to arrange rides before the program started? Also, at what point was your cohort's Facebook group created? Lastly, for current students, what do you like about the program, and what do you hate about it? What do you recommend for those interested?
