Has anyone heard back from Ventura College regarding Fall 2018 ADN Admission?

Yes! I actually just got an email today notifying me of my acceptance for the Fall of 2018!
Congratulations! Is this the first time you have applied there? Would you feel comfortable sharing how many points you had?
Thank you! And yes! I just finished up my last prerequisite in December (micro), so this was my first time being able to apply. I took my TEAS on March 16th, so I was really surprised and not expecting it at all. I had 75 points, so I'm not sure if that's good or bad or where it falls on the range of what people normally go in with. Is this your first time applying? And do you feel comfortable sharing how many points you applied with?
Am actually not applying but mentoring someone who is.. believe with 72 points. Did your acceptance state was "tentative" until all Information was verified? Or was it a confirmed acceptance?
Yes, it was tentative, so basically pending on the results of the drugs tests, backgrounds, and the physical exam. But when I received the email, they asked that I respond back to confirm my place for the Fall. And then yesterday I received a follow up email saying I'll receive another email within the next few weeks regarding more information and my nursing school orientation date, along with a "congratulations, you did it kinda thing!" My friend was accepted last semester and said the tentative is only sent out to applicants that made it in for the following semester, and unless someone differs, then they'll pull from the waitlist.

Congratulations Future_RN2020! I applied as well and got accepted tentatively for this fall 2018! Did the email they sent you after you confirmed that you want to start this fall specify when you would need to have your background check and physical done by? And did they say when orientation was?
I still need 2 classes to finish the Associate degree and my wife and I are expecting a baby due in September that I don't know if I should defer until January or start in august. It's so overwhelming.
Congratulations to you too beepbeeep! That's such a huge accomplishment! And congratulations on your new little one who's coming in September! There's so many things to be celebrating! I'll copy and paste the response email that I got after I confirmed my spot for the Fall.
"We have received your acceptance confirmation. More forms and information will be emailed to you in a couple of weeks regarding a mandatory Acceptance Workshop in June, with date to be determined.
Congratulations!"
So no specific dates as to when the orientation is or the due dates for the background and physically are, but I do know they go over everything at the orientation meeting June. So obviously it's totally up to you and whatever you feel would work best with your schedule and having a new little one, but I definitely would recommend taking summer courses to finish up those final 2 classes! I took Anatomy and Physiology over the summer, and the classes are definitely rigorous but it was so nice to get them out of the way in 10 weeks vs 18 weeks.
Thank you for sharing your email future_RN2020! I think I will end up signing up for summer classes and knock out the two classes that I need.
You're welcome! Do you think you're going to accept your Fall acceptance for the program?
Yes after thinking about it the whole day I decided to accept my spot for this upcoming fall. I didnt want to risk not being accepted in january since its not a gaurantee if I were to defer. I guess ill be taking summer classes lol.
Oh good! I think you'll be glad that you decided to accept instead of taking the chance next Spring! August is going to be here before we know it!
