to Vegas for travel assignment

Hello,

I'm about ready to finish my travel assignment up here in WA and am looking for a travel assignment in Las Vegas.

I know next to nothing about the area but have been researching. I would probably like to live in Summerlin or Green Valley area but will consider any area. I hear to stay away from North Las Vegas so I will try to do that.

I don't know about hospitals. Years back I remember that nurses talked bad about working in all the Vegas hospitals. Now I hear some are better. I am a tele/stepdown/med/surg nurse. I've heard horror stories of nurse/patient ratios of 1:10. Is that true or in the past? I like the idea of UMC just because of the action, but I know it is a county hospital. Summerlin hospital, Sunrise, and St Mary's sound interesting but I know next to nothing about them.

Anyone willing to talk to me a little bit that knows the area or works in one of those hospitals and give me insider scoop? Thanks!

Anyone need inside scoop on greater Seattle area, I can help in that regard.
