Does anyone have any reviews on Utica College accelerated BSN program in St Petersburg, Fl? I know its a new program but Is it a respected nursing school?
I've been in contact with an admission advisor and I am currently taking the required prerequisites. Is this school a good look?
Any graduates who got their first job?

I don't know much about it except for what the admissions councelor told me, but she did say that every single student from last semester passed the nclex exam, so it must be a decent program. What made me uneasy is that all of the lecture-based classes are done online, and then you report live for the clinicals. Nursing just seems difficult to teach yourself with an online format, but I'm definitely not ruling the school out.
And she did say that a good percent of them had jobs lined up before they even passed their nclex's

I am looking into the program! Any recommendation on where to live. I will be relocating if accepted from MN. Any current or graduated students from the program? Advice? Cost of the program?

Hey Everyone!
I am interested in the Accelerated BSN program at Utica College in the Tampa Bay area - anyone have any reviews on how the program is?
Thank you!

I was looking for reviews and came across this website page. I am from Michigan and I'm looking into the ABSN at Utica College in St. Petersburg. I saw an awful review on another site, saying that the teachers are horrible and so on. However, I know they are accredited by CCNE and have a 96% pass rate for the NCLEX exam.

The only people that go to this school are people with extremely low GPAs or since they are accepting people with no college degree what so ever that means they take community college students that have issues with writing the papers in apa format. This is not a school for smart people. The professors have fake degrees from online schools and little to no actual nursing experience. The clinical instructors have openly admitted to never worked as an actual nursing for more than 3 months. The class teachers have no idea what is going on, they do not make up any of the exams or course work. They are useless when asked anything. This school is horrible and a cash grab. You are all warned.

No nursing program is perfect. There are some things at Utica that I don't like, but overall I've been happy with my choice to go here. The online classes made it so I could keep working at least part time, but still get a second bachelor's degree in an accelerated time frame. A lot of it depends on how your attitude is. At least for us they told us that a ton of the work is independent, so be prepared for that. There have been a few teacher's I've struggled to get in contact with but overall most get back pretty quickly. Some will do video chats to meet which makes it feel more like meeting in person and lets you build at least some sort of a relationship with them. The lab teachers help as much as they can, but they'll tell you themselves lab is separate from lecture and they don't control the material in lecture or on exams, and refer you back to your lecture teachers for that information.
