UTHSCSA Applicant

Hello,

New to the forum. I am a paramedic that is going to the dark side as my co-workers would say. I say I am ready to move on to bigger and better things. I recently applied to UTHSCA nursing program. I am driving my self crazy waiting for the results (they should throw me in a padded cell right now). I have been lurking here for a while so I decided to post to make the crazy calm down.

I guess the whole reason for the post is to maybe get some insight on where I stand as an applicant. I have been highly doubting myself which makes the crazy worse.

Here is a little hx:

• I went to Uthsca for my paramedic and kinda worked on a BA in emergency health science (I stopped for personal reasons)
  
• I worked as a paramedic for 2 years in a 911 setting
  
• on the TEA I got a 80
  
• my total gpa is 3.53
  
• I made the dean's list at uthsca.
  
• I havent not gotten a letter yet but they asked me to submit a background check (goes that mean anything?)
  

Can anyone who has been in my situation offer any advice?
