Using mobile devices for online schooling

I am in a program with Walden Univeristy and can NOT use my iPhone or iPad for discussion posts . Whenever I type or try copying and pasting into the area for posting to the discussion my device shuts off completely. Is there a work around for this issue or am I forced to invest in a Laptop? I have a iMac but I thought the iPad was good for portability . I have also invested in a nice keyboard just for school work. Any suggestions anyone ?

Have you called your school's IT department? That's where I would start.

Prelude, do call the IT department even with what I'm about to share as you want to check multiple areas for solutions. That stated, does this behavior happen in other sites / areas of the Internet? Does your iPad work using this forum in terms of replying, copying and pasting material into a reply box, etc?

If this happens on other sites, then maybe check the Apple store to see if they can find a problem with the iPad itself. If just that one site, then probably the IT department can help.

IF they tell you the issue is related to having a browser that supports Flash, I've been testing the Puffin Browser for the iPad (it support Flash), and so far that browser has been working well on my iPad.

Thanks all for your suggestions. It turns out that the problem has already been identified . I have gotten emails stating that they are working to fix it !
