Usd mepn program 2015

For those who are looking to attend USD I am recommending that you pursue nursing school elsewhere and here is why:

1. Cost. This is a private Catholic college. You will spend two times as much as you would if you attended an accelerated BSN program. In the marketplace the clinical nurse leader does not carry a significant amount of clout. If you're going to spend that kind of money, go to a school where you can get a Masters that will actually mean something.

2. Some of the faculty, and more importantly the administration is corrupt. Expect to have your personal boundaries violated; my entire bra was inspected by one of the instructors.

3. This is not an actual learning environment in which you will be allowed a learning curve. You will be held to the standard of a seasoned nurse in your second semester. If you make an honest mistake, you will suffer.

4. Expect that you will be bullied on the clinical floor. The instructor may reprimand you for giving her the correct mechanism of action for a medication and will try to confuse you by providing conflicting information.

5. You may suffer abuse at the hands of these people and still not walk away with a degree. They can fail you if you do not conform to their idea of a conservative nurse. If you are a thinker and/or a liberal this is not the school for you.
