US RN in Canada

Hi to everyone.Im new here as well as new in Toronto. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines with 4 years hospital experience. I have taken several nursing exams including the NCLEX RN exam and passed. And well it kinda frustrate me now here in Canada that I have to start all over again. I applied for registration here and I believe it will take time for the assessment to be done. But I have read from the college of ontario's website that one can actually apply for temporary registration while waiting to write the exam and assessment given that you have an employer. Now that is my concern, how can I actually look for an employer? Is it ok for me to call a hospital if they are doing this for a prospect staff? Any suggestions and referrals will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
