Update on my little nephew

who I posted about a few weeks ago when he was born at 27 weeks. I just talked with my niece and he is doing well. They did have to put him back on the ventilator though, but he is gaining weight. He was born at 2 lb 2 oz, went down to 1 lb 14 oz and now weighs 2 lb 4 oz. She is pumping breast milk and he is taking 6 cc (i think that is what she said).

She also asked my husband and I to be his God parents and we gladly said yes.

I'm glad your nephew is doing well. Having a baby in the NICU is a rollercoaster ride; my own daughter was a 23 weeker and spent 177 days in the NICU. I'll keep your nephew in my thoughts and prayers.
