I also applied for the 2024 cohort, but didn't get in. But then I didn't have a CNA license, and I also have about 220 volunteer hours in places like children's therapy center, emergency department, PCU unit. Do you think I have more chances now? Is there any tips you can give me to apply again this fall?
Thanks.
@Princekaur honestly, I think your volunteer experience is enough for that criteria. I think there are lots of other things they consider because I worked as a CNA only for 4 months to ask my supervisor to write me a reference letter. When I applied, my hours were little over the minimum. So I believe the hands on experience criteria would not have so much impact on my application. I believe GPA and essays are more important. Did I answer you well?
@Princekaur I think I tried to write my thought and reflection from CNA experience. Also my cultural background as minority could be beneficial (?). I can send you my essays if you want to read through and get the idea of what is a good approach to the essay.

Hi! I am applying for the UW BSN program next year. I am very anxious about getting in. Do you think you could send me copies of your essays to see as an example? If it's too much of a hassle, it's no worries at all.

Hello, I just applied to UW BSN program and I am very anxious about it. Does anybody apply to this program? If so and if don't mind, would you share your status?
My GPA is very low... about 3.24, but my prerequisites are about 3.9. Hopefully, pre-req GPA offsets the low undergraduate GPA. I am a brand new CNA but no community volunteer experience.
