N4455 - Shadowing advice

I started 4455 this week and have already made arrangements to shadow a nurse leader. I'm lucky: mine is one of those nurses who loves mentoring, and was very happy to take on the task of mentoring me.

Now my question is: is there anything specific that I should be looking to do in the shadowing experience? The assignment stated it should be three separate events, but the assignment is also wonderfully vague. Any guidance would be helpful.

I have no other choice but to start today. It doesn't seem like it will be that bad from looking at everyone else power points. I ripe something together real quick and I already have a little draft. Hopefully I want be up all night.

I did my "up all night" last night. I find I need to do that to have the best results (well, best for procrastinating anyway :) ), since I'm calmer on the last day when there's a draft--no matter how bad--in hand.

I understand completely. I stayed up all last night working on history stuff. I'm so glad that class is over. I had to work today so hopefully I can work on it while I'm here at work. Did you finish the week 3 assignment for the financial management?

I dd that earlier in the week. It seems overwhelming at first but if you read the chapters in the book as well as check out the Questions forum if you have specific questions, it really isn't too bad. I used Excel to do my math for me. Then again, I haven't yet received my grade so who knows how I did? Hopefully I figured it all out.

Another day, I'll have to pick your brain about what to expect in 1312. Not today since we both need to get this PowerPoint over and done with! :D
