University of Southern Maine (USM) Accelerated Nursing Program

Published

Hello,

I am looking in to the University of Southern Maine Accelerated BSN Program.

Few questions to those who have completed the program or are currently in the program:

* What is the application process like? I have a 3.47 for my undergrad G.P.A and a B+ average for my prerequisites. Any suggestions on what else I can do to boost my chances of acceptance?

* How many hours a week do you spend in lecture/clinical/studying - on average? Is there any room at all for a part-time per diem job? I am supporting myself, so even working 16 hours a week is super helpful.

* How are the instructors? The quality of their teaching? I am good student as long as I have clear direction. I hear awful nursing school stories and I want to know what I am getting myself into.

* Compared to the amount of students accepted, how many make it through?

* Overall, I consider myself "average" on the scale the scale of "smartness -- I am hoping I am not getting in over my head.

Thank you in advance to everyone who responds to this post :)
