I am currently in my 6th semester of the University of South Alabama's BSN to DNP program for Family Nurse Practitioner. I just thought I'd open a thread for any of you who may have questions about the MSN or DNP portion at USA. The good thing about their BSN to DNP program is that it incorporates the MSN after semester 7 and allows you to sit for boards and begin working as a NP prior to completing the DNP. If any of you have any questions or want to clear up some negative/positive reviews you've heard or read, I'm happy to help!

Thank you Harmonia, I have been accepted into the BSN to DNP for family psyche. I've been following a couple of forums and the two things that seemed to have stood out of a somewhat negative nature is that clinical preceptors for family psych np are just not out there. Students are having to go with psychiatrists. Yet the school is making it tough on the students who despite everything cannot locate a psych np.

Also, I've heard that USA governors board have approval for NC students to do clinical in their home state of NC? Is this true? Other than the clinical nightmare - this is the only negatives j have.

Thank you
