I really hope someone can help me with this. I am considering moving to Sioux Falls, SD to attend USF's second degree accelerated BSN. I have been really happy with everything so far speaking with them...until I found out the number of clinical hours it has. Only 400. That seems shockingly low to me, as I have been scouring this site and others, and the lowest I've seen for any program (adn or bsn) was more like 6-700. Has anyone gone there or have any other info/views on this? It is a 15 month program, quite reasonable for an accelerated program. Private christian liberal arts school (but only one theology course required to graduate). CCNE accredited, good nclex 1st time pass rates. Seems like a really legit school, but those low hours have me worried. I live in MN actually, but have been assured (and I looked into it) that it meets the MN BON requirements, and many students go there from MN. Thanks in advance! I hope someone can shed some light!

I went there (USF ABSN), and I felt we got enough hours. I liked the program! Feel free to ask me anything about it, but I am biased... :-)
It is true that a number of my classmates went back to MN and are working as RNs there.
Also, a number of people (10-15) got out of Bible class because they had already taken one in college.
Thanks!
You're welcome!
So I just found out that does not include any of the simulation lab and such, and after speaking with previous students, it sounds like a great school. I tend to over-research things a bit. :)
True, many classes have a simulation. Also, I don't know if that number counts the preceptorship. The simulations and preceptorship are some of the best clinical experiences, because you really get to act the part of a nurse.
