Hi! I just wanted to start this thread for the U of R ABSN program for Fall 2023! I was also wondering if anyone was applying to the new nursing scholar program that they are offering? Hoping to connect with prospective candidates

Eagerly waiting to hear about an interview! I did apply to the scholarship program. Feeling a little torn. They quickly glossed over the fact that the loan forgiveness counts as taxable income during those three years, which places you in a higher tax bracket. The differential in taxes paid over the three years is over 20k. Not exactly "free" but still much better than 78k. Just something to think about.

Hi! I have an interview with them tomorrow! I didn't choose to do the new nursing scholar program since they do require you to commit to working at two of their hospitals upstate.

Hi all! I have my interview tomorrow and wanted to see if anyone else had one already. If so how was it?! Also what types of questions did they ask?

I'm sure each interview is adjusted according to your application but I would definitely prepare for questions like "tell me about yourself" and questions regarding how you plan on balancing the program with your other obligations.

I haven't heard anything yet...my interviewer said we'll hear back by the end of May. I hope it's sooner though!

The info session on the scholarship program said acceptance decisions are released in early May. Good luck everybody!
