Hi, does anyone have experience with attending online courses through University of Providence? I'm an ANP, need to return to school to do AGPCNP program. I need the convenience of online didactic, I can probably find my clinical sites.
The background: I went to a brick and mortar ANP program in NY 25 yrs ago, my education and subsequent work / cont. ED has been solid. But I took a nurse CM job 5 yrs ago and didn't work 1,000 NP hours on the side to meet the ANP board re-certification 5 year requirement (the ANP cert exam was retired in 2016).
So I want to return to school to get board certified again, and my goal is to find a AGPCNP program that is focused on clinical (with as few "soft" papers as possible, unless they have a very clinical focus). I really don't want to go to a degree mill, but I can't afford another R1 degree at this point.
I will double check w/ California Board of Nursing, but I think Providence is on their approved list.
