University of Minnesota's Master of Nursing Program Interview

Published

I just got invited to interview with UMN's MSN program! I am wondering if there are anyone here who has interviewed with the program before in the past. I am looking for insights and just any advice about what to expect! Please DM me and/or leave comments. Anything that can help.

Thought I slam-dunked the interview, got waitlisted, got off waitlist. It was a roller coaster. Basic jist, what challenges do you expect why the U of M questions. They probably have some rubric they follow somewhere.

Hey I got interviewed for this month for Fall 2022. I was wondering if anyone got any updates. I know they said emails would be sent out the last week of February?

Anyone hear back yet? I thought today would be the day!

I called the School of Nursing this morning and they informed me that they were wrapping up the last of the interviews, and emails would probably be sent out in the next 2 weeks.

Oh no, more waiting. That is good to know though, thank you!

I got accepted into the program earlier this month, and I’m planning on accepting! I haven’t seen a facebook group started yet, and I’m wondering if I should go ahead and create one for this cohort?

I also got accepted and plan on attending! I think that's a good idea, however I'm not on FB ?

How long after you got waitlisted did you get off the waitlist?

I think it was like April 15. If I remember, they let the first acceptances know about April 1, and gave them until April 14 to respond, and then I heard on the 15th, so, I imagine, I was highish up on the waitlist so they had heard enough nos to offer entry into the program.

I received my acceptance on March 1st and had a deadline of accepting or declining the offer by April 1st. So, it would make sense that people started getting offers off the waitlist in mid-April. I believe this continues until the program starts. I know a classmate who got off the waitlist 2 weeks before the program's orientation date.
