To those accepted to UMiami - - CONGRATSSS!!!

I'm applying to UMiami's anesthesia program in the next few months, and I just recently took the GRE. My score? A 295 (that's a 980 on the old scale)! I am depressed/disappointed/irritated...but quite frankly, I NEVER WANT TO TAKE THAT HORRID EXAM AGAIN. I have my heart set on UMiami though, and there is the "minimum" requirement of 1000. My stats:

-3.4 Overall GPA/3.78 Science GPA (graduated from a reputable university in my state)

-CCRN, ACLS, PALS, BLS, taking CMC in the next few weeks

-2 years MICU experience in a Level 1 Trauma/Urban Teaching Hospital

-I hold a teaching & charge position in my unit, initiated a research study within our hospital, I'm on several committees, received nursing/writing awards

-I have also shadowed a CRNA for 20 + hours in the OR

Based on this info, should I retake the GRE? Or do I have a shot of at least getting an interview or even accepted? Any suggestions to make me look more competitive? Needing a little reassurance right now... :cry: Hope you guys can help!

Hi there!

First off, congratulations on being accepted!!

I am in my last year of my BSN, so I still have some time-but when the time is right I really want to get into UMiami's CRNA program. I know 25-35 people end up getting accepted, but do you know how many people applied for the program when you were accepted? I am trying to figure out the likeliness of getting in.
