university of kansas application

Published

Hi. I've been stressing over this for months and finally decided to post on here just to relieve some of my stress. I am currently apply for ku's bsn program for the fall of 2020. I completed my prereqs at jccc and have a GPA of 3.87. I have also done 100 hours of volunteer at the hospital and 8 hours of shadowing at children's mercy (that was the max number of hours they allowed). my act composite is a 24. what are my chances of getting accepted???

Congratulations to all those invited for interview. KU is a great program and you’ll love it here. Last year I was in your place and I can honestly relate to what most of you are feeling. Just remember the interview process is very laid back. Look at some qualities in you that makes you ambitious, if that makes sense. They’re looking for students who can survive the rigorous schedule of the program. All the best

Hi there! I was just wondering if you ended up getting in? I go to jccc as well and my stats are about the same as yours. I’m waiting for my admissions decision for the class of 2021 and I’m so nervous!

Yes! I found out last week I got accepted. I think they look heavily on GPA so as long as that's good I think you'll be fine. Good luck!!

Congrats to everyone that got in! This was probably the hardest part! I am a graduating senior in my last semester of clinicals and I will say that the course work isn't difficult as there should be upperclassmen who will give you copies of old exams and assignments. This will get you through and you'll just have to put in the time memorizing the information! Best of luck!

I join in the congratulations! I also want to say that admission is much more difficult than studying. Although sometimes I had problems during my studies with writing some assignments. All the same, I think that medicine is more of a practice, and not writing different types of articles.
