Hi I am hoping to get into the CEIN Program at UCONN to start in January 2026. I am a former UCONN student class of 2024 with a bachelors in biology. I was not the best student in undergrad however I retook a lot of prereqs at a community college to increase my GPA. My prerequisite GPA is a 3.5 but my overall GPA is a 2.85. I started at a 2.5 because of extreme hardships I experienced during my time on campus at UCONN. I now teach a Certified Nursing Assistant course and I am also a instructor at a local high school where I teach UCONN ECE courses to the students. The classes I teach are medical terminology and intro to allied health. I was able to accomplish this all just in a few months after undergrad! I am hoping that my teaching experience plus my determination plus the fact that I have been a CNA for 3 years and am now good enough to teach a course will get me admitted! I have been working so hard to prove that I am more than just the mistakes I made during undergrad. I know this is a holistic program so I am hoping everything works out. I applied to the community college associates in nursing program as my back but I want to go to uconn so bad.

Hi there! I work with the UConn School of Nursing. I want to encourage you to attend one of our information sessions if you have not already done so! Sessions are held weekly at various times. You can view those sessions and sign up at this website: https://cein.nursing.uconn.edu/information-sessions/
All applicants are reviewed holistically. Our website provides an overview of that process. If there are more specific questions you would like to address with our team, you are always invited to reach us by email - [email protected]. We would be happy to connect with you!
