What you really need to know about Pre-Reqs & GPA in preparation for your future UNF application to nursing school. GPA on your pre-reqs counts for 50% of the points that qualify you for an invitation for an interview, so it is very important.
In my quest to be the best candidate possible for the UNF nursing program I poured over this blog site and found much helpful information. But I had to sort through many comments to get to the real nuggets. My hope is that this topic will be reserved for valuable information and not simply personal conversations by individual cohorts.
Overview: How to get into UNF Brooks School of Nursing:
If I had listened to those who talked about how hard it is to get into UNF I would have given up a long time ago. I don't know yet if I am in or not, but I'm not sorry for trying. I've worked hard to be competitive and now we will just see what happens. {interview was yesterday} If you have a 3.67 overall GPA from UNF then chances are you are a hard working, smart student. Don't think worst case scenario, think best case scenario. UNF is hard to get into for nursing, but you sound like the kind of student they are looking for. The average GPA for those invited to an interview and admitted for their pre-reqs was about 3.7/3.8. the pre-reqs are as follows:SELECT One social science courseAny PSYXXXX, SOPXXXX, or SYGXXXX is acceptable.
