Hi!! I wanted to create this forum for those interested in the Maine ABSN programs in and near Portland. I am a non nursing major who just graduated from UVM with a 3.2 GPA in psychology. I know I have to take some pre reqs before entering any ABSN program. What are the acceptance rates for these schools typically and do I even have a chance of getting accepted? I am planning on working at the Maine Medical Center for a year or so before applying to a program to gain more hospital experience. What do these ABSN programs typically look for when accepting a student?
