Undergraduate NYU Nursing Transfer?

Published

So I've seen a lot of helpful tips on this site, so I decided to make one for myself. I am currently starting my sophomore year at a community college in California. I am looking into transferring into the NYU Nursing Program in Fall of 2015. NYU has been my dream school since freshman year, NYC has been my dream location since I was 6, and I am just absolutely in LOVE with the city. I've visited twice and I just don't see myself anywhere else besides NYC. So far, I have taken a good amount of the courses listed on the NYU undergrad nursing page. My current GPA is a 3.5, I work at a grocery store part-time, I volunteer at a hospital weekly, and I am also involved in a few non-profit organizations such as The American Red Cross Foundation and HandsOn Network. I am currently learning American Sign Language, hoping to become an interpreter while I earn my Bachelors. In high school, my GPA was around a 3.4, I had very bad SAT's scores, I was a yearbook editor, and took part in various sports teams.

Dear EVERYONE,

Please comment with your opinions on if you think I have a good chance at getting in, if you're in the same boat as I am, if you think I'd be better off at a different school, if you have any information I should know about NYU, anything basically!

Thanksssssssss
