Hey ladies and gents,
So I'm trying to find the answer to a question everywhere online and I cant seem to find one anywhere so your my last hope. I'm finishing up my 3rd year in the BSN program and I know we don't do a thesis in the program however, since I began focusing on the more psychological/holistic/sociological courses of nursing with some psych/soc electives I've noticed some amazing crossovers, specifically without getting into much detail into phenomenology (NOT in use in research but other nursing aspects). I've been discussing it recently with some classmates and I truly feel that merging some concepts from different specialties that most nurses do not study could extensively help some nurses with their ability to emphasize with their clients and help them understand why a patient is how he/she is, thus being able to provide a higher level of care, and creating less bias. Now my issue is as I do not have the powerful letters after my name currently, what are the chances of me finding a journal that would be willing to publish a concept analysis by a undergrad? Although I would like to have others gain from my experiences in practicing in other disciplines I see no point in writing the analysis spending weeks or months on it and never having anyone read it.
Thanks for the info all!

That's what querry letters are for. You write a letter to the editor of a journal that you think would be a good match for your article and ask them if they would be interested in such an article. You do that BEFORE you invest the effort into actually writing the article. You just have to sketch it out in the letter -- not write the whole article.
Another option would be to explore resources at your school that might be able to help you. There may be a "writing center" or a friendly professor who could help you navigate the world of publishing.
