Can anyone tell me if UNBC's got a reputable nursing program? I'm interesting in nursing however I don't want to move out of BC. UBC's not an option (for personal reasons. You can't pay me to go to UBC) and I do plan on applying to most colleges in the Lower Mainland. So, if you attend or know anything about UNBC's program, do share!

I am a UNBC student, at the Quesnel regional campus (there are 24 seats her, 100-ish in PG, and 12? in Terrace). The regional campus offers a lot of oppurtuniy for one on one with teachers. The med-surg experience is great, and I was placed in Williams Lake for my third year practicum in a Critical Care role (a rotation between ICU and Emerg). Overall, I am happy with my education. There are still some organizational kinks to be worked out now by the program because the Quesnel Campus program is new, and their has been some shifting of instructors. The instructors for the upper level courses in Quesnel are FANTASTIC (Difficult markers though). The ethics and mental health courses were my favorite.
Overall the cost of living in Quesnel is very inexpensive (my downtown apartment is only 450$!!!). It is a pretty small town though, and when I moved here for school it was an adjustment.
I do not know a lot about Prince George...
If you have anymore questions let me know!

Thank you for your info on the nursing program at UNBC. I am applying for the September 2012 intake. I suppose you are done, or nearing the end of your program? How did you find it?
From what I read online someone posted that it was very disorganized (the posted graduated in 2008). How did you find the program? I have also read that UNBC has a very high CRNE pass rate.

I'm a 1st year Nursing student at CNC (UNBC/CNC Program)
Like yourself I'm also from the lower mainland, and I ended up in Prince George.
What do you want to know about the program? So far I've found it to be very easy, in terms of academic/grade wise.
I attended UBC and Kwantlen before coming here, where it was hard for me to keep a 3.2 GPA, and now I have a 4.0 GPA without breaking a sweat.
